Cassette Staging – Part III

Just added the end plugs to the cassette.  The design is to use a block of foam with a string attached to pull it out.  I first cut a block of foam to do the job.   However, this didn’t work as the foam I used tore when I pulled on the string.  So, I ended up using a thin slice of foam glued to a block of 1/4” thick wood.  I screwed a hook to the wood and tied the string to that.  It worked pretty good.

 

Here’s a video of the test run.  My arm is in the way when I’m inserting and removing the plug, but you can see that the cassette is indeed working the way it’s supposed to.
